Service Department Warranty Policy
Everyone will make a mistake now and then; and if we do, we will be the first to admit it and fix it – after all, if we didn't treat people fairly, honestly, and cheerfully, we would not have enjoyed years of success and a high rate of customer satisfaction.
Be assured: repairs performed by International Classic Motorcycles are warranted to be free from defects, both parts and our workmanship, for a period of 90 days from the completion date on your invoice.
That said, there are necessary time-limitations and exclusions to our warranty:
90 days is 90 days – if you have a problem with our work, let's get it addressed quickly! Beyond 90 days, there are too many variables beyond our control, and our responsibility ends. If you feel we have not done the job right, we require the opportunity to inspect the problem and report our findings.
Do not take the vehicle to another "mechanic", shop, or dealership, and expect us to reimburse your expenses – our competitors would love to throw us under a bus – it is in their self-interest to do so! If we made a mistake, we'll make it right, but you have to give us the opportunity to do so
Exclusions include, but are not limited to:
Carburetor repairs and cleaning are warranted for 30 days from the date of completion.
Breakage or damage caused by severe strain, abuse, or mud/water intake – especially on ATV's, UTV's, Motocross and Enduros– is not our fault.
"Won't start" or poor drivability due to lack of use, or improper storage techniques is not our fault.
Fuel treatment and battery maintenance are your responsibility.
Competition or racing use – if you race it, things are going to break, even something we may have fixed before – and that's not our fault.
Breakage or damage caused by parts or accessories that are not original equipment manufacturer (OEM), or parts that are provided by the customer, used and installed at your direction are not under any warranty. In addition we bear no responsibility for parts provided by the customer that do not fit or the work.
Breakage or damage caused by the lack of scheduled maintenance, an accident or collision, transportation to or from, or any modifications to our original work, is not covered.
